HRM FESTIVAL: Heart mentorship – Where the heart is, there is excellence – 17.9.2024

As a member of the Heart Mentorship Community, I participated in the HRM FESTIVAL at the School of Economics and Business. It was nice to return to my lecture hall at the faculty I attended so many years ago. Less nice was hearing and realizing where our country is heading with the demographic and staffing situation, standing on the threshold of major changes across Europe.

As part of Heart Mentorship, we focused on the theme: where the heart is, there is excellence – a culture of excellence built on personal growth, mutual collaboration, and smart leadership. I spoke not only about staffing issues in family and craft businesses and about work as a value, which is increasingly losing importance among young people, but also about the call of my heart to speak publicly through my two impactful books: A Cup of Life on anxiety and The Jug of Love on trauma, which are increasingly common phenomena even in the business environment.

Getting to know yourself and understanding others is the path to fewer sick leaves in companies, greater efficiency and job satisfaction, empathy toward colleagues, and the discovery of creativity and talents—even through the painful challenges we face on the path to burnout.

For with an open heart, we can be better and stronger together.
