Stories of Life: Confronting Trauma, a Companion Through the Lives of Many – Stane Benedetič – 23.10.2025

The conversation sheds light on confronting trauma throughout life and its effects on one’s personal emotions as well as on relationships with partners, family, coworkers, and friends. Because trauma, tied to one’s intimate experience of self and others and to shame, is almost impossible to talk about, the work of author Tatjana Grča, The Jug of Love, is an exceptional and vivid account of experiencing trauma over time. In our desire to appear perfect and strong, we often deny, suppress, neglect, or ignore trauma. Facing it can be very uncomfortable because we are not used to being accepted in our vulnerability. Those around us often fail to understand our inner experiences or even mock them. You are invited into a world that, whether we like it or not, shapes each of us on some unconscious level. The conversation with Tatjana Grča about her book The Jug of Love was hosted by Stane Benedetič.
